Last night I did a test and raised my uncore to 41 and dropped my Vring to 1.1 (Sins OC guide recommended 1-1.1 for under a 4.5 OC).

But do this bit by bit.Ī lower uncore multiplier can definitely stabilize the CPU over clock and that's where I would start if you're having stability issues. Once all the above is stable, start OCing the uncore. what the current auto voltage is, thats a good indication of what the board thinks it needs).ĥ. (but look at what it is in the column next to the selection box, i.e. Next step you can look at setting your vrin override voltage to fixed. Even a little lower, because if you're going to OC the uncore your temps will rise again.ĥ. If you're stable you can keep pushing your cpu and voltage until heat becomes threshold. Set your load line calibration to extreme and your pwm phase to extreme.Ĥ. Don't OC your uncore multiplier yet, leave it at a standard 3.5.

Start with just your CPU multiplier and vcore voltage overclock. If you jump in straight at 4.3 and find stability issues and have made a handful of bios tweaks, you don't know where the problem is coming from.Ģ. Make one change at a time, testing after each one. Everything in here is also on that link I attached, but maybe it's easier for you to digest how I put it down.ġ. I have updated my settings in my last post, take a look, but realize your experience may differ. I'm certainly not an expert and am fairly new at this myself. I didn't really talk about uncore multiplier last post, but it's important. It can help stabilize your CPU and Uncore but also generates heat which is counter productive. You shouldn't need to push your ring voltage to 1.25. Building a CustoMac Hackintosh: Buyer's Guide
